Breakthrough Data - Frequently Asked Questions

 


Question: What is the "Church Data" area for?

Answer: Church Data is the area of our West Ohio website and database where designated church personnel can enter data about their church and view reports related to that data. 


Question: Is this where I enter our church's weekly data?

Answer: Yes, login here and you will be able to enter your weekly data and view reports about your progress toward your Breakthrough Goals.


Question: Who has access to the Church Data area for my church?

Answer: Your church pastor has designated certain persons from your church to have access to this area for reviewing reports and data entry. Please contact your pastor with any questions.


Question: I'm the designated user from my church. How do I get a username and password?

Answer: The username and password is the same username and password you created to access your personal record in our conference database or sign up for a conference event.


Question: What if I have multiple churches I'm to enter data for?

Answer: After you login, you will have access to all the churches for which you are responsible for entering data.


Question: Who do I contact if I'm the designated person from my church to have access to this area and I'm having difficulty logging in?

Answer: For help with logging in, contact your district office secretary or the communications department at the conference office (614/844-6200). You may also email westohio@wocumc.org with any questions.


Question: How do I begin entering data?

Answer: To enter data for the most recent Sunday, select the first link under your church's name on the Church Data Menu screen. The link starts with "Enter data for" and then lists the current week.


Question: When does the current week start and stop?

Answer: Weeks start on Monday and end on Sunday. The current week would be the most recent Monday through Sunday. The data entered would include 7 days of data from Monday through the following Sunday. Each week the first link on the menu will state the dates for the current week.


Question: I'm responsible for entering data for multiple churches in our charge and I don't see all of them listed.

Answer: Contact your district office secretary or the communications department at the conference office (614/844-6200). You may also email westohio@wocumc.org with any questions.


Question: What if I want to enter data for a week prior to the current one, or change an entry I made for an earlier week?

Answer: The second link on the menu allows you to "add or edit data from previous weeks". All weeks will be available for data entry or editing until the previous year is closed on January 15th.


Question: Where are the Breakthrough Goals our church entered on our Breakthrough Goal card?

Answer: One of the two report options on the menu will show you year to date data compared to your annual Breakthrough Goals. The other report shows you your year to date progress toward those goals.


Question: How am I sure I'm entering for the correct week and the correct church?

Answer: At the top of the data entry screen you will see the church name and week you are entering data for listed. Be sure those are correct before you begin entering data.


Question: How do I move from field to field in the online form?

Answer: Use your tab key to move between fields and enter or edit data. The enter key will prompt a question asking you if you want to save and submit your completed data.


Question: What do the blue question marks mean?

Answer:  The blue question mark at the end of each field give a more detailed explanation of the question - click on the question mark symbol for the information to appear.
